How do Drones fit into the national plans for our infrastructure?

For that question, we turn to Brigham A. McCown, Chairman and Founder of the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure.  AII is an independent, national, educational organization dedicated to identifying our nation’s infrastructure needs, creating awareness of those needs and developing public-private partnerships to address those issues. Their goal is to create higher standards by promoting innovative technologies and safer outcomes for national infrastructure projects.

Brigham has more than 28 years of executive management, legal, and operational experience at the local, national, and international levels of government. In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure, he also serves as the Chairman and CEO of Nouveau Inc. and is a Managing Shareholder of Kilgore / McCown, PLLC. He’s a former senior executive at the United States Department of Transportation, and current entrepreneur and philanthropist. We’re fortunate to have him with us today.  Drones have surfaced on the Alliance’s radar as a promising innovative technology and because of the potential to support our country’s infrastructure goals.  On this episode of the Drone Radio Show, Brigham talks about the Alliance for Innovation and Infrastructure, it’s mission and objectives and how drones fit into the overall agenda.

Michael Monnik is a cyber security consultant and founder of DroneSec a drone-security service.  Michael has built a successful career in helping clients secure their networks. Over the past few years, his interest in internet security led him to drones. What Are You Afraid Of?

It’s Saturday night, September 23, 2016, and hundreds gather at the Los Angeles Downtown Film Festival. They’re there to see a new film submitted by a local director. The film is about drones. The director is David Oneal of That Drone Show and Wildly Creative Marketing.  The movie is The Drone Invasion. 

David and Sarah host That Drone Show, a popular  YouTube series on drones. They’ve been doing this since 2014, when drones were just starting to become popular.  They’ve uploaded more than 400 videos, have nearly 13,000 subscribers and have registered more than 1.2 million views. In 2015, they conceptualized and launched International Drone Day, a day to celebrate drones. As we all know, International Drone Day has become a huge success in connecting drone users across the globe in the common message that Drones Are Good. More recently, David and Sarah formed Wildly Creative Marketing to assist clients in promoting their products and services.  They are frequently seen promoting drone racing events across the country.

The Drone Invasion is a documentary that explores the myths, the promises, and the current reality of drones. Dozens of experts in Drone technology come together on the screen to answer the simple question of "Are Drones Good?"  In this episode, we learn about making of the movie and its impact on the drone industry.
